Joseph Michael Sullivan Jr. left this life to be in God's kingdom on the 8th of October, 2023. He was 72. Joe leaves behind Connie Coody Sullivan and their three children Jaclyn, Joe, and Matthew, one grandchild, Joey as well as two of his siblings Katherine Mola and Gene Sullivan. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Katherine Sullivan, as well as his sister Judy Vann. Joe graduated from LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He spent five years in Dallas, TX before moving to Colorado Springs which became his home. Joe's most treasured job came at the end of his career through a Department of Defense contractor on Fort Carson. Joe accepted the position with the utmost honor and respect. Joe learned about U.S. Army defense weapons and how soldiers would best utilize them on the battle field. Joe instructed soldiers on weapon systems through modulated simulations before they deployed to war. Joe's instruction and war simulations helped save the lives of soldiers. This was a rewarding and important job to Joe who was proud to give of himself to our soldiers and our country.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Marion House where Joe enjoyed volunteering his time to serve meals to the homeless and less fortunate on holidays.


Joe's funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday the 22nd of December at Saint Dominic's Catholic Church with a rosary prayer at 10:30 A.M. A burial service will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, and there will be a reception back at Saint Dominic's.
