Pillar: minus one, Heaven: plus one.

Pillar's #1 fan and official greeter is no doubt organizing things up there today. Surely a little red car is speeding up the golden streets, impatient to get there and get it done. She didn't move slowly, too much to do. We tried to keep up with her and had such fun in the trying. You shall be missed, Juanita, for now. We'll catch up with you later.......

Dear Juanita
I looked at this thing for two days trying to figure out what to say. What I realized was that there is no way to sum up what someone means to you in just a few words. What I can say is that I found such great comfort in meeting your family and seeing that although you have left us for now, your legacy lives on through your children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Thank you for choosing me to care for you. Although challenging at times it was my honor to look after you, and to learn all you taught me. Know that I will cherish our brief but meaningful time together all the days of my life. I Iove you very much and I miss you even more!

I so loved caring for Juanita every other week. She was definately full of life and love. I continually told her to slow down and would take her hand and walk with her to her bed. Then she would cat nap. (I think with one eye open. LOL) I will miss her warm welcoming hugs, her holding my hand while she shared her life stories with me, the times we cried and laughed together. The last thing we did was play with her hats and acting silly. I will cherish her friendship and the blessing that she was to me. I love you Juanita.

She was a firecracker, that one. Always bursting onto the scene in a myriad of colorful outfits. Her energy level far exceeded most of us. You could feel it when she came beaming into the room. Her eyes were like mischievous sparklers always looking for another way to help someone or seeking a new friend with whom to share her fascinating life stories. Inside her dynamite of a personality was packed a kind, generous, caring, tenacious and adventurous soul who accomplished so much as she showered the earth with her presence. Before she left she sprinkled those she came in contact with little angels to keep them safe. Was she a perfect firecracker? Of course not, but like each of us, that is exactly what made her so special.
We may not be able to see it, but her firecracker didn’t fizzle. It simply moved behind the veil onto the other side. Someday we will see it again. In the meantime, when you see a firecracker high in the sky, it will be Juanita Breckenridge reminding us she is still near.
I love you, Juanita. You are just wonderful.
With enthusiasm,
Bonnie jw Riley
