I am so sorry for your loss. I'll never forget when I met Mrs. Gulya so many years ago. I had started school at ECA and was at an end of the year barbecue. I was walking and met someone who enthusiastically said she would be my teacher next year. From the moment I met her, I always knew that she had a tender heart and loved the Lord. She taught me so many math classes in high school. She had such a gift and made it so easy for me to learn and understand. More than that, she always put Jesus at the center of everything she did. I can honestly say that she changed my life. After class, I always went away with something to think about. God really did use her to minister to my heart. She was my favorite math teacher and one of the best I've ever had. I will always remember her and am praying for continued healing for her friends and family. This isn't goodbye. It is, see you soon. I'm looking forward to our glorious reunion someday. Love you all.

I met Karen when she taught me math tnrough District 11 Adult and Family Education. She was such a gifted teacher, as well as someone who could encourage others even as she battled her health issues. Rest in your Creator's arms, Miss Karen.

I am so sorry to hear about this. I had the privilege of working with Karen in the early 2000s. She was just a kind person and will be missed. I am praying for her family during this time. May they find peace and hope in the good news of the Gospel that Karen believed.
