Karl Adler Obituary

Karl J. Adler, age 47, beloved son, brother and uncle, passed away after a short illness on June 20, 2006 in Reno, NV. May God grant him eternal rest. He was born on January 19, 1959 in St. Louis, MO to Donald and Mary (Heller) Adler. The family moved to Colorado Springs, CO in 1967. Karl graduated from Mitchell High School and was a machinist by trade. He was an avid Bronco and Rockies fan and also enjoyed playing and watching golf, camping, fishing, movies and playing poker with the boys. He made friends easily and created family wherever he went. Karl was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed. His memory will live on forever in our hearts. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald; grandparents: Albert and Gertrude Adler and August and Thelma Heller. He is survived by his mother, Mary; stepmother, Betty; and siblings: Mark (Irene) Adler of Chiloquin, OR; Craig (Karen) Adler of Centennial, CO; Laura (Mark) Martinez of Colorado Springs, CO; Jeannine (Magdeleno) Zamora of Hugo, OK; Linda (Florentino) Garcia of Colorado Springs, CO; and Marie Adler of Colorado Springs, CO. He also leaves behind a large extended family including numerous nieces and nephews who will miss his teddy bear hugs and, of course, his "babies" George and Gracie. A Memorial Mass to celebrate his life will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 2715 E. Pikes Peak Ave, Colorado Springs, CO on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please offer donations in memory of Karl to Mitchell High School, 1205 Potter, Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80909 for support of the Auto Program.

Karl will truly be missed by his entire family. Holidays will never be the same with him trying to get his hat back from the kids and the dogpile at the end of the night once he got it back. His contaigous laughter is what I will miss the most about Karl. Karl could find humor in any situation. A girl couldn't ask for a better brother!!!!! #2 your in my heart forever!!

My heart was torn out with Karl's death. I'll always remember his fantastic sense of humor. He had the heart of a big bear. Mom, you are such a strong lady. I greive with our entire family. All of Karls friends will miss him forever. Thank you, Mom and Irene, for all you did for Karl in the hospital. He was so happy that you two were there with him. His babies, Gracie and George, are now part of our family in Oregon. They are the great squirrel hunters of Copperfield Draw. I miss my brother.

My family and Karl's came to Colo. Spgs. at the same time and lived barely a block away. I always enjoyed seeing him whenever I did. Our families went through many things together including a set of puppies. I am saddened by his death. My prayers are with Mary and all his brothers and sisters.
