Kevin Turner Obituary

A longtime resident of Colorado Springs, Kevin worked as a carpenter. During the 1970's he contracted work as Husky Framing, became a school district carpenter and mastering his trade, he returned to self employment as a local remodeler. Kevin was an avid fisherman and sports enthusiast, but his greatest joy may have been in caring for his dogs. He will be remembered as a strong and fair man, always willing to assist and quick to recognize injustice. He is survived by two brothers, Curtis J. Turner and Steven A. Turner. He will be remembered by many friends and associates. A memorial service will be held this Saturday August 20 from 3 to 6pm at I.B.E.W., 2150 Naegele Rd., COS 80904.

Kevin Turner and I met while we were students attending North Jr. High School in the 1960s. We experienced many adventures over the years that included work, fishing and camping.
Even though Kevin and I did not maintain regular contact after the early 1970s, we always kept in touch.

Kevin provided support for our family members and his presence at events was always welcome and appreciated. Kevin possessed a high degree of loyalty in friendship and sensitivity towards others.

Kevin helped my sister Diane, supported my brother Sam when he was diagnosed with cancer, was there when my mom passed away and most recently attended my father's 87th birthday party. It's tough to say goodbye to a friend whom you've known since jr. high so I won't.

Thoughts of Kevin will remain with friends and family. We miss you Kevin.

Kevin was my neighbor for a short 7 years. He loved his dog and mine as well. We shared some stories, took in a few hockey games and enjoyed one superbowl on TV with my son-in-law. We will remember you always. Sincerely, another long-suffering Vikings fan from Minnesota.
