Lana Yeakel Obituary
Lana graduated from Doherty High School in 1977 and attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Her career in business included over 15 years in human resources at AMI, over 10 years in management at US Bank and most recently sales professional as a residential realtor. Lana was very involved in the local business community as a previous member of the Colorado Springs Chamber, Downtown Partnership, a supporter of Art-in-the-Streets and belonged to the Pikes Peak Board of Realtors.
Lana enjoyed sunning by the pool, concerts, golf, travel and spending time with family. She was a generous, thoughtful, lovable person who will be missed immensely by family and friends.
Surviving family include her mother, Ike Padgett; siblings Kirk Padgett (Tomi), Bruce Padgett (Carolyn), Casey Padgett (Lisa) and Lynda Bess (Bob) and very special friends; Bruce and Bernie. The extended family includes numerous cousins, aunts, nieces and nephews; Jacob Ibanez (Colorado Springs) Justin Padgett (AZ), Tyler Padgett (CA), Julian Padgett (CO), Eliott Padgett (NY), Kiki, Matthew and Hadley Bess all of Castle Rock, CO.
A memorial service will be held on May 16 at 1:30pm at First Lutheran Church, 1515 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs 80907. A celebration of life reception will be held following the service at the El Paso Club at 30 E. Platte Avenue 80903. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo or the Memorial Fund in Lana's memory at First Lutheran Church, where Lana was both baptized and confirmed.

Lana,lovely,Lana...we shared some wonderful times together, we took some memorable trips together, and I will always think of you with your pretty blue eyes, and a big smile on your face. Lana was a Intelligent beautiful woman. My best friend for 25 years.
I will miss talking with her, laughing together but most of all just having her for a friend.
