Linda Gauvin Obituary

Linda Lou Gauvin, a resident of Security since 1977, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2007. Linda was a retired Para Educator from Jordahl in Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 and a homemaker. She was a proud recipient of a CU certificate in Behavioral Management who loved ceramics, crocheting and creative crafting. Linda was born July 29, 1947 in New London Wisconsin to Vernon and Viola (Zieball) Wheeler. She married the love of her life, Yvan L. Gauvin in August 1979. Together they raised four daughters: Carole, Sylvie, Sally and Kory. Linda is survived by her husband, Yvan; her daughters, Carole (Dave) Hines, Sylvie (Lawrence) Cimino, Sally (Allan) Minnehan and Kory (Corey) Andersen; nine grandchildren, Tony, Carlos, CJ, Dalton, Elise, Nicholas, Jenny, Sissy and Taylor; her sister, Lois (Richard) Bretl; her brother, Mike Wheeler; several nieces and nephews and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a niece, Tina Marie; her sisters, Pat and Karen; and her brother, Dewey. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 from 4-7PM with a rosary to be held at 7PM at Dove-Witt Family Mortuary, 6630 S. Highway 85/87, Fountain. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 10AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 331 Main Street, Security. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, 757 S. Santa Fe, Fountain. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
