Linda McCullough Vandezande passed away on January 21, 2024. She was born
to Jack and Helen McCullough on June 9, 1948, in Colorado Springs.
Linda attended schools in District 11 and graduated from Colorado College in
1970. She was a highly regarded first grade teacher in District 11 for 30 years.
Linda married her husband, Thomas, in 1975. Theirs was a match made in
heaven. Linda always said that Tom was her best friend. They shared a life of
service to their family and their church. They enjoyed playing bridge in many
groups. She also enjoyed knitting, gardening, reading, and cooking.
Linda was preceded in death by her stepson, Joseph, and her brother, Mike.
She is survived by her husband, Tom, and stepchildren Kirk, Lisa Peterson
(Bob), and grandchildren Luke, Rachel, Thomas, and Melanie. She is also
survived by her sisters Nancy George (Manning) and Kay Lee (Jon).
Linda played an immense role in the raising and nurturing of her nine nieces
and nephews - Elizabeth, Molly, Nicholas, Robert, Matthew, Michael, Lindsey,
Jacob, and Emma. Her love, generosity, and wisdom, continues to be a huge
influence in their lives. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews.
They will greatly miss their "Aunt Nonnie."
A memorial service for Linda will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 11:00A.M. at St. George's Anglican Church, 217 East Pikes Peak Avenue.
In lieu of flowers a memorial gift may be made to St. George's Anglican Church.
