Lourdes Delumpa Obituary

Delumpa
Lourdes "Lou" Delumpa
August 13, 2025

Lourdes "Lou" Delumpa was welcomed into God's embrace on August 13, 2025.
Born in 1940 in the Philippines, she immigrated to the United States as a young teenager. A few short years later, she met and married the love of her life, Felix Delumpa, a union of 67 years. Together they raised 5 children, navigating life as a military family. Lou was a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt.
Her birth was close to the feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes; Lou became a quiet symbol of her lifelong Marion devotion. Motherhood was her vocation; hospitality was her ministry; a marriage rooted in grace and a spiritual influence on her family.
She is lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Felix; her five children: Mia Cobb (Mike), Nanette Delumpa-Roach (Dale), Olivia Wright (Bryan), Patrick Delumpa (Wendy) and Rose Roa (Al); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and a cherished grandson, whose memory she held close to her heart.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, 1830 S. Corona Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80905. A reception will be held following the Mass at the church.
A private family Committal Service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org, in memory of Lourdes S. Delumpa.
