I was skiing in Colorado this past week and while I was on line in the Cafeteria at A Basin, I saw French Fries. I only thought of one smiling face when I saw these. Madelyn enjoyed to ski but I think she loved the French Fries in the ski lodge more!

What a sweet face I saw when I opened my e-mail. I think of Madelyn so often and have many, many loving memories. I treasure the time we had together. She was special.

Madelyn was like the perfect loving sister to me. Thirty years of sharing our lives was such a gift. My big regret is that I didn't attend everyone of her dance recitals and that I didn't visit Lynchburg with her. She was always there for me. Fortunately she comes to me in dreams. Love, Kathy

I miss Mad everyday. She still inspires me with who she was and how she lived. Maureen

Carole and I were talking about how we can't believe it's been 2 years. She's still so visible everywhere in so many ways. I miss her terribly. I miss her spirit and spunk and guidance. It's consoling to know that it's possible to have such a positive affect on so many people-it's something to aspire to. Love, Kirsten

Not
a day goes by that I don't think of Madelyn. I always knew how important
she was to me and how much I loved her, but I didn't realize until she was
no longer here, how much she infused my life. I was looking at photos recentlyand you would have thought Madelyn and I were next door neighbors. There
she is, perkily smiling away, in every special moment in my life (and many
non-events that were made special by virtue of her having been there.) Madelyn
alway showed up,even if it meant traipsing across continents with
two wee
ones in tow to be at her niece's bat mitzvah and the bar mitzvahs of her
nephews in New York. Madelyn is still showing up, in my memories and my friends
who knew her too. Sometimes I think of the way she said certain things and
the "private" sister language we shared (so stupid, it's not fit for print but we thought it was funny). Madelyn,my beautiful sister. You are missed.
I have a candle burning for you today.I'd like to believe you know that already.
Another thing you may or may not know yet. Kirsten and I are brunching (naturally,
we wouldn't miss a meal) together on Saturday to talk about our memories
and feelings about you. Love, Sis (see that's a perfect example.
It's how you signed your cards to me
