Not only was Donna a friend and a long-time collegue, she was an inspiration, and my heart goes out to her family and friends. She was a special person that left a special mark on our hearts.

No words can truly express the heartache I feel for Donna's entire family. Everyone who knew her loved her. I turned to Donna on many occasions for wisdom while I worked in DC.. and she was always there for me, as she was for so many others. Donna always signed off her e-mails to me with "Have a Yippey, Skippy Day". No doubt that she is sharing that same positive presence and outlook with those that surround her now - and I know that she is looking down on us and taking care of us still. You are missed, Donna, and you will never be forgotten.

My prayers go out to the Head and Obermueller families. Donna's impact on Air Force families will be missed. May her good will carry on in the countless lives she touched and may the Lord continue to bless all who had the opportunity to know her.

From across the Country, Donna and her family are both in my heart and prayers. Knowing Donna professionally I was honored with her company at least once a year during an AF training conference. She was an inspirtion and lives on in the memory of so many of her counter flight chiefs throughout the world. She is remembered for her many contributions and I for one am very grateful I knew her.

My sincerely condolences to you and your daughters. I know exactly how your daughters feel as I lost my mother earlier this year.

Donna and Jim have touched hundreds, likely thousands, of lives and hearts. I grieve for Donna, Jim, their families and friends. My first thought was "Why Donna, God? I'd take her place if you asked me." She truly WAS a "Madonna", Blessed Mother to so many. My heart aches for Jim and family. Prayers and enduring love to all.

If we have learned anything from this senseless tragedy is that you can not take any moments in life for granted. Cherish all your loved ones every minute of every day. I only worked with Donna for a short while, but she touched me in the deepest way possible. She was always there for me, whatever the reason might have been. She always had advice and words of wisdom. I know she will be missed by everyone that knew her.

Her positive and generous attitude always shined through everyday I worked with her. Children were her life and she did a great job with all the children and young adults she came into contact with. Donna was an inspiration to all those that she worked with and knew. She inspired us to always do our best and maintain integrity even if no one is looking. She was a mentor, friend and mother. She will be missed by all.

Donna was an advocate for all children and an exceptional guide to those coming into the field. She was a blessing to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

Donna was a colleague of mine and fellow flight chief when I worked for the Air Force. She was a class act. My heartfelt prayers to the Head family at this difficult time. May God grant you comfort as only He can.

My mother and I are so deeply sorry for your loss and for this tragedy. Mrs. Head was one of the most kind, outgoing, generous and fun people I've ever had the pleasure to meet. I am sure she already is regaling her neighbors in Heaven with plenty of stories from Earth, reuniting with old friends and making many new ones.

I met Andrea and her girls on the plane from Dallas to Denver. I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. You are in my thoughts.

As a former employee of Donna's and having a special relationship with her, it is in my sincere and deepest regret that this has happened. She will never be forgotten and her work will go on through all of us. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I know there are never the right words at a time such as this but she is one of a kind. She was like a mom to me and a mentor. She believed in people and pushed them to do their best, just as she did. She will be missed greatly.

To all of Donna's family and friends, I'm so very sorry for you loss. Donna was an amazing person with an incredible heart for children that shone through her work at USAFA. Her knowledge, personality and presence will be terribly missed. God bless you all.
