Martin Shuck Obituary

Martin L. Shuck, 76, joined his Savior on July 19, 2016 in Sun City, AZ. He is survived by his wife, Diana Duran, daughters, Tamzen Arnold (Devin, granddaughters Victoria and Krystal) and Tracy Ross (partner Laura Rock and children Ethan and Bethany), sister, Nancy Crouse (Ronald), nieces, nephews and cousins.



Martin married Carol Neppel, mother of his daughters, in 1960. He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin J. and Dorma (Richardson) Shuck, and brother and sister-in-law Richard and Marcia Shuck.

He studied for the ministry at Anderson College, and then received a BSBA in the first graduating class of UCCS. He was an asset to many companies in Colorado and California, becoming a VP at Woodmoor Corporation, a VP at Visa USA, and an AVP at Argonaut Insurance, until Ro-Mar, Ltd., was established in 1978 by the Shuck and Crouse families. Ro-Mar was named one of Colorado's top private companies by Colorado Business Magazine in 1991. He served on many professional organizations and non-profit boards, and was a Precinct Committeeman for the Republican Party in Arizona.

Marty believed in living every moment of life and embracing every challenge. There was no home, car, or company that he didn't stubbornly work to improve. He whistled everywhere he went and would often break into song. A teacher by nature, he was a beloved mentor to many. His employees and friends became family - and he loved his family.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 701 N. 20th St, Colorado Springs on Sunday, August 7, at 4:00 p.m.
