Mary Stroupe Obituary

Mary "Gini" Stroupe, 82, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2011 with her loving family at her side. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Gini was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Keith K Stroupe, a sister, Eleanor Piot, and a brother, Wilbert Eugea. She is survived by her sister, Lauretta Anzalone of Colorado Springs, son Keith K Stroupe, II (Missy) of Wichita, KS, daughter Teresa Ward of Buena Vista, CO, daughter Carol Birchman (Joe) of Georgetown, TX, and daughter Jayne Lee (David) of Colorado Springs, CO. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren she loved so very much: Kimberly, Tamera, Cortney, Eric, Ashlee, Austin, Christopher, Danielle, Chellene, Carissa, as well as 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Gini and her husband, Keith (a Navy Pilot) enjoyed the travels of a military family along with raising their four children. In 1979 they settled down in the beautiful mountains of Nathrop, Colorado in the Mount Princeton area. They enjoyed God's beauty and nature for 20 years. Gini loved cooking for all the company and family that constantly came to visit. A private service was held at her bedside with immediate family. Her ashes will be buried next to her husband, with family on October 21, 2011 at the Olivet Cemetery in Buena Vista, CO. Family and friends are cordially invited to a "Celebration of Life" Open House on October 22, 2011 from 1:00-5:00 pm at the home she shared with daughter Jayne, and son-in-law David, at 2282 Diamond Creek Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80921.
