To the family and friends of Michael Palmer,

I am so sorry to hear of this tragic loss and my heart goes out to each and every one of you. Michael was in my "Introduction to Women's Studies"class this semester at Front Range Community College. He was such a bright student and always had the most caring and loving smile on his face. In fact, on April 3 he presented in class and was so thorough and thoughtful. I was so impressed with his ability to engage the material and express his ideas about each issue. Our class is very discussion based and Michael frequently spoke of his son and how much he loved him. He also, very compassionately, spoke about the mother of his child as well as the new love in his life. I can tell he cared about each of you so much.

To Micheal's mother,

Michael had so much to say about you. You were clearly an inspiration to him. I am not sure if he had already asked you, but he mentioned that he would love for you to come to our class to share your insights and knowledge about women's rights. He also spoke so highly of the way he was raised. He said that you and his father were such a great example of what it means to be in an equal relationship. It was clear that you both gave him a wonderful life.

I know that I do not know you, but you are in my heart. I have two children of my own and can not even being to imagine the pain you must feel. The least I can do is let you know how much of an impact he had on me in the short time that I have known him. You should be proud of the person that he was and will always be in our hearts.

With the most sincere and loving regard,
Jennifer
