Michelle Houck Memoriam

Michelle Denise Houck, 45, of Springfield MO, passed from this world peacefully in Cox South Hospital, with her loving brothers at her side, at 7:20 a.m., August 2, 2009. Michelle was born to proud parents in Cordell, Okla., on January 12, 1964. She graduated from Harrison High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado where she remained a longtime resident and community contributor. Michelle raised a family and went on to be caring mother & successful business woman. She was a program coordinator of traffic services for Safety Council of the Ozarks from 2008 to present. Previously Michelle served as an office manager for Correction Services from 1998 to 2008 where she was considered a staple of the business by her management. She was a member of a local Methodist Church where she was known as a kind and giving parishioner that lent her time & effort on many church projects. Michelle is and always will be dearly loved and missed by her family and all that knew her bright spirit & beautiful smile. She is survived by her proud, loving parents, Fletcher and Margaret Lantz; children, Andrea, Shannon and Peyton Houck; grandchild, Teegan Riley Patton; brothers, Alan and Tony Lantz; her sister & confidant, Nicole Rook; nephew, Alex Rook; in-laws, Dave Rook & Lynda Lantz; and close friends, Tom Hunter, Katie Bond, Cheryl West and Stacy Brockman. Funeral services were held in Greenlawn Funeral Home East on Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Her final resting place is located in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield Mo. The world is a bit darker without Michelle here to brighten it… She will always be missed, and never forgotten.
