Paloma Button Obituary

Paloma Button, 29, of Elbert, Colorado, passed away on August 12, 2015 after suffering an amniotic fluid embolism (AFE) on August 3, 2015 during the birth of her daughter.



Paloma was born on February 22, 1986 in Las Vegas, Nevada, the daughter of Anna Florez. She attended school in Las Vegas and graduated from Votech High School in 2004. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice in 2014.



During her full and loving life, she also resided in Germany, and relocated to Fountain, Colorado in 2011. This past year, Paloma and her husband were blessed with the news that they would be expectant parents and chose to make a home and a life for their family in Elbert, Colorado.



Paloma worked at USAA Federal Bank for the past four years where she was recently promoted to Manager with Financial Solutions. At USAA, she was also a member of the Military Spouse Support Group as a beloved Army Wife to the love of her life, her husband, Frank Button.



Paloma is survived by her husband Frank Button and daughter, Elsie Anna Button, of Elbert, Colorado; her mother, Anna Florez, and her nieces, Elsa and Jessica Mariscal, of Las Vegas, Nevada; and her close friends, members of the Button family, and the multitude of people whose lives she touched.



A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00pm on Thursday, August 20th, 2015 at the Garden of the God's Club. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you send donations to Elsie's College Fund payable to: Legg-Mason (please write "Elsie Button Educational Fund" in the memo line). Envelopes will be available at the Celebration of Life and can also be mailed to SJS Attorneys, 231 E Vermijo Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
