PATSY LOU (KOLLMAN) MOORE
September 25, 1927 January 5, 2019
Patsy Lou Kollman Moore passed away to join her Lord in Heaven on January 5, 2019, at the age of 91, in Colorado Springs. Beloved daughter of Robert Leo and Willa Mae (Gaines) Kollman, Pat was born on September 25, 1927, in Hondo, Texas, where she spent her childhood years before moving on to attend Trinity University in San Antonio. Graduating in 1948, Pat that same year married Robert Burns Moore of Martin, Tennessee, a graduate of the United States Military Academy undergoing flight training at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana. There followed a life as an Air Force wife, with postings in San Francisco, Tacoma, Okinawa, Denver, Turkey, and Georgia, among others. Along the way, Pat gave birth to her two children, Marce and Bob, all while teaching school, earning her masters degree in education at Texas A&M, and assisting her husband in his fledgling land development business. Returning to Colorado Springs with her family in 1967, Pat started a successful real estate firm, only to suffer a major stroke in 1975. Relearning to speak and walk with the help of her loving family, she continued on to enjoy a happy and productive life, traveling the world, and culminating with the celebration this past October of 70 years of Marriage with her husband, Bob.
Pat had a wide circle of devoted friends, many of them lasting from childhood. She was loyal and supportive of them all, and treasured their many happy times together. Her family was graced with her eternal optimism, her loving encouragement, and unfailing support through good times and bad. Her loving devotion to her family was matched only by her deep Christian faith, a source of enduring strength to her all her life, to the end. Our precious mother is with her God, and we can now rejoice!
Pat is survived by her husband Robert Burns Moore of Colorado Springs; daughter Marce (Richard) King of Kerrville, Texas; son Robert (Leslie) Moore of Colorado Springs; grandchildren Harvest (Canon) Jones, Lindsay Rose, Colby (Rita) Rose, Max Jonas Knaver, Joshua King, and Amy King; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Leo Kollman, Jr., of Llano, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 16, at Broadmoor Community Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, 908 Yuma Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80909.

I was very sorry to recently hear of Pat's passing. She was a very good friend of my mother, Pat, going back to the times Bob and my dad were in the Air Force together. Pat was also my Godmother, and always remembered me on my birthday - even as I became an adult with children of my own. Every card included a thoughtful note, always encouraging me and reinforcing my faith in God. She was so kind and thoughtful, and we loved her very much. I will always cherish the times she visited us and the time we spent time with her in Colorado Springs when I was a teenager. Bob and her family are in our thoughts and prayers.
May her memory be eternal.
Sincerely,

Harvest Jones
