Richard Lawrence Kimball passed away peacefully on the 18th of May at the Point of the Pines Gardens Assisted Living Center. Richard was born in Worcester Massachusetts in 1941. As a teen he moved to Maine with his family where he excelled in chess, baseball, martial arts, fishing and hunting. In 1961 Richard married Susan Woodman and founded Nationwide Builders. Together they had two sons, but the marriage did not last. He later married Joyce Watson and moved to Colorado where they reared three sons. Joyce, the love of his life, passed away in 1994 having struggled with cancer for many years. In 1996 he married Nancy Tanner, the widowed wife of his best friend Larry, fulfilling a promise that they made to each other to take care of the other's girl when one passed away. Nancy also succumbed to cancer in 2011. Richard had been staying at the Point of the Pines recovering from a hip injury he sustained while out hiking in the mountains. He will be missed by his five sons and their families and his friends. The family would like to thank the staff of the Point of the Pines for the care of their father while he was a resident.
