It is with profound sadness and heartfelt respect that we announce the passing of Richard Anthony Naughton. Born on May 18, 1938, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Richard lived a life marked by kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to those around him.
Shortly after high school, he joined the United States Air Force serving for 23 years, to include two tours in Vietnam. Then he was a civil servant at Schriever AFB working as an aircraft mechanic.
Working with his hands was what he enjoyed the most and he showed amazing ingenuity in repairing or fixing things. He competed in National Bowling Tournaments for 26 years, but his biggest passion in his later years was golf playing weekly.
Richard was preceded in death by the love of his life Darlene Josephine Naughton along with his parents John and Florence Naughton, his brother John and his sister Jeanne.
Richard leaves behind his daughters Lisa Powell (George), Lynn Hager, and Kristine Joyce (George), his sisters Elisabeth LeFebrve, Patricia Nelson, and MaryKay Nowak (John), along with beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial wake/rosary will be held on June 17, 2025, 3-6pm at Springs Funeral Services-Platte. The funeral mass will be held at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church on June 19, 2025, at 11am followed by a luncheon in the community center. The internment will take place at Pikes Peak National Cemetery on June 26, 2025, at noon with full military honors. All who knew and loved Richard are invited to join in honoring his life and sharing fond memories.
