Richard Pfeiffer Obituary

Richard Earl Pfeiffer, 90 of Colorado Springs, Colorado, died Monday April 10, at his home with his wife, Sarah by his side.

Richard was a physician and obstetrician/gynecology in practice for over 30 years in the Colorado Springs area.

A visitation will be held at 1:00pm with a memorial service follow on Friday, April 14th, at 2:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2750 Melissa Dr. Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Dr. Pfeiffer was born October 9, 1926 in Durango, Colorado. He married Sarah Buffmire on April 8, 1961. He attended Colorado College and earned his bachelor's degree in 1950. He then went on to earn his medical degree from St. Louis University. He moved to Denver, Colorado, to complete his medical training at Rose Medical Center, before moving to Colorado Springs where he practiced medicine.

He is survived by his wife Sarah, two sons, Richard J. (of Lubbock, Texas) and Phillip L. Pfeiffer (of Idaho Falls, Idaho); his brother Jack Pfeiffer (of Castle Pines, Colorado); five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Sally, Rick and Phillip, sending my deepest sympathies and love. I'll always remember how much Dick and my dad enjoyed each others' company and all the laughs they had. A true and deep friendship over probably 40+ years.
