Robert "Bob" Armintor passed away on July 8, 2021, at the age of 83 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Bob was born on May 28, 1938, in Port Arthur, Texas to Lennie and Beatrice Armintor. After graduating from Bishop Byrne High School in Port Arthur, Bob earned a Bachelor of Secondary Education degree from Sam Houston State University then taught 7th through 9th grade math and science in Corpus Christi, Texas. While teaching, Bob earned a Master of Education degree from East Texas State University then worked as a library media specialist for the Birmingham Michigan Independent School District, the Northern Illinois Library System, and Pikes Peak Community College until his retirement in 2001. Bob is survived by his nephew, David Campbell, of Houston, Texas and his niece, Claudia Clay of Orange, Texas as well as their spouses and children. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister, Clois Anne Gilbert. Bob was a life-long learner and an avid advocate of human rights and social justice. He was a long-time active member of All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church in Colorado Springs. A celebration of Bob's life is being planned for fall 2021 at his church.
