Robert Cox Obituary

Robert Lee Cox died at home September 8th under the gentle care of his wife and Pikes Peak Hospice. Loved deeply, he will be profoundly missed. Born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Bob earned a degree in Engineering from New Mexico State University, leading him to a career in Colorado Springs working with scientific computing and supercomputers. Bob hiked, climbed and cycled his way through Colorado mountains and New Mexico wilderness. He especially enjoyed going fast, skiing, riding motorcycles and driving his treasured 1996 BMW M3. Bob lives on in the hearts of his beloved wife, SuZett Estell, his four remarkable children; son, E. Ty Cox (Amy), daughter, Sarah Patterson (Carrick), stepson G. Chris Horwath and stepdaughter Shawn Horwath, (all of Colorado Springs). "Grampy Bob's" six grandchildren include Ethan Cox, Myah Petterson, Audrey Cox, Garred Patterson, Adam Martin and Kelsey Martin. Bob will also be remembered affectionately by his sister, Marion Grinstead, (Alamogordo, New Mexico), Bob's brother-in-law, Milton (Tim) Grinstead (El Paso, Texas), their two sons, Bruce Ginstead, (Ontario, Canada) and Cole Grinstead (Alamogordo) and Bob's former wife, Betty Jo Cardona (Colorado Springs).
