Robert McKittrick Obituary

Robert "Bob" McKittrick, 93, born April 30, 1922, in St. Louis, Mo. to Ralph and Gertha McKittrick, died May 14, 2015, at the Bruce McCandless Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home, Florence, Colo. Bob was a WWII veteran from 1942 - 1948. He was a POW and recipient of two Bronze Stars, two purple hearts, WWII Victory metal and Army Occupation metal. After separation from the military, Bob was employed for 35 years and retired from General Motors Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio.

Predeceased by his wife, Helen Morley McKittrick whom he married February 14, 2000, in Colorado Springs.

Survivors are stepchildren, Joni (Wayne) Fair, Pueblo West; David (Susan) Morley, Venice, Fla., Larry (Claudia) Stout, Colorado Springs and Donald (Mary Kay) Stout, South Dakota; several step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Evelyn Wilkey of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Veterans Nursing Home for their excellent and loving care of Bob. Service, 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at Montgomery & Steward Funeral Directors in Pueblo. Military honors and interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Pueblo.
