His Love Is Forever

My love and prayers go out to Bob's family. Bob was one of a kind! So smart and kind and generous, and he could be funny! I never met anyone who knew so much about so many things! He cared deeply for people who worked for him and with him. Everyone else came first. My first real clue as to his big heart and his gentleness came one day at work when I arrived shortly after my beloved cat Rupert had died in my arms. Bob asked me if he could hug me and then gave me his phone number in case I wanted to talk or cry. That kindness solidified my respect for him. There are so many stories, we had so much fun. We had "comb over day" for his birthday, every employee came in wearing a comb over wig. It was hilarious to see his face as we walked in the door. One day, for boss's day, he was out of town, so we went to get some beer and cigerettes and party hats and laid it all over a table, we placed a big "Happy Boss's Day!" sign on the wall, we were holding beer and looking drunk, then we took a picture and emailed it to him. I'm sure he thought that's what we were really doing! He never said no to a request for help, he was patient beyond belief if you didn't quite "get it" and he took great interest and concern in our personal lives. It griped him that he was 3 days older than me. Now he is forever younger. (Had to have the last say, as always!) Thank you for sharing him with us, with me. I will never forget those bright smiling blue eyes. It's sad for us but Jesus is loving on him! Much love to you and God's blessings of comfort. Bob will be so missed.

My sympathies go out to all of the Salmon children. My mother dated Bob in the mid 1990's and he was the most inventive man I ever knew. He was so smart. He was also very forgiving. It is my hope that healing will come soon for the kids. I am glad he is in Heaven with Jesus, but I know how much you will all miss him.
