Roberta Sprenger Obituary
FREMONT: Roberta "Bobbi" Shepherd Sprenger, 83, of Fremont, died early Friday, March 25, 2011 at Bethesda Care Center. She was born on September 22, 1927 in Shepperton Middlesex, England to George Edward and Marjorie (Wallace) Shepherd. On March 6, 1945 she married Rudy H. Sprenger in England and he preceded her in death in 1980. Her sole life was her eight children and her grandchildren. Roberta enjoyed baking and cooking, along with being active at the Senior Center. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Fremont and she sang in the choir. Her spirit will always be with us and her love will live forever in our hearts.
Surviving are her children Jennifer (John) Roberts of Fremont, Colleen (Greg) Peters of Toledo, Rudy (Janice) Sprenger, Michelle (Keith) Cummings, Marlene (James) Ellis, Christine Turner all of Fremont, Michael (Meridith) Sprenger of Wesley Chaple, FL and James (Amy) Sprenger of Lakewood, OH; fifteen grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Jean (Ken) Head & Colin (Sylvia) Shepherd; and brother-in-law, Herb Parkhouse all of England; and son-in-law, Terry Turner of Fremont. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Pamela Parkhouse.
Visitation will be on March 28, 2011 from 11-1 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Services will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Milton Mann and Pastor Keith Koppenhofer officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line Sandusky, Ohio 44870 or to the Alzheimer's Association of NW Ohio Chapter, 2500 N. Reynolds Rd., Toledo, OH 43615 or the charity of the donor's choice, in Roberta's memory.

Colleen, I never knew your mom was from England. I would have liked to have met her. I bet she had some amazing life experiences she could have shared. I know this isn't an easy time for you.
