Roger Philip Neeland, 83, of Colorado Springs, CO passed away peacefully at home on March 8, 2026. Born June 18, 1942 in Milwaukee WI to Wendell and Leta Neeland. He graduated from the USAFA in 1964 and later earned degrees from MIT and UCLA. He served as an Air Force pilot, flying helicopters in Southeast Asia and later T-39 aircraft, earning the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal before retiring as a Lt. Col. An avid cyclist, he rode almost daily and competed in the Huntsman World Senior Games for 15 years, earning multiple medals. On his final day, he attended church with his wife before heading out for one more bike ride in the early spring weather. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Linda Neeland; daughter Kathleen Thomas and her son Devan; and son Michael Neeland, his wife Kalani, and their children Persephone and Theoden. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa McLaughlin. The memorial service will be at Pulpit Rock Church March 20, 2026 7pm
