It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair.

We all have a past, and so it was for both Ron and I. There were times that we laughed so hard that my stomach hurt for days afterwards. There were times that were so painful that we cried. But through it all, Ron was there for me when I needed him. He always believed that I would be more. Ron had a tender side and a generous heart and I thank God that he was in my life. I miss him dearly and I wish he was still with us so that I could share all the things that God has done in my life today. I love ya brother and all of your family!! God Bless - Tom

My cousin Ronnie......He was always good to me. He traveled all the way to Oregon to come to my wedding. That was the last time I saw him 27 years ago. Although I have kept up on him somewhat through my Mom. I loved Ronnie very much but was not close enough to him to make a difference in his life. I pray that God will help each one of us to realize how we can make a difference from this day forward, and I pray that God will comfort Ronnie's family in this time of grief.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the loss of my good friend Ron. I want to express to all of you how much I loved this man.

Ron and I go way back. We were baseball teammates when his dad used to coach our team back in elementry school.

We were fishing partners, co-workers, drinking buddies, but most of all we were just friends.

Ronnie was kind of like a personal body guard for me when I was a punk kid with a big mouth.

He always believed in me and gave me more respect than I deserved.

Ronnie was older than me and the friends that I went to school with, but it didn't matter to us because he was a Hollandparker--he was one of us.

I will always miss Ron's laugh. I will miss his encouragement. I will miss my old friend and I will never forget him.

I wish I could have been there more for Ron but life took me in another direction.

For now I will say goodby Ron and pray to see you again in another place where the fishing is good.

In Him.

Had some good times with Ron back in the 70's and 80's. He used to be at all our "151" gigs. We were pretty close friends back in 8th and 9th grade. He will be missed.
