Ron and I were friends and brothers in Christ and former school teachers. We both loved drawing and painting. We enjoyed just talking. Looking forward to seeing him again.

I have such fond memories of Mr. Lupton. He was my real life Bob Ross! I still tell people he was the best art teacher ever! I'm so sorry for your loss.

My Dad, Al Buzbee, was also a D11 teacher and was friends with Ron. I inherited some of Ron's art work that he had given to Dad many years ago. I would love to restore it to his family in his memory. Please feel free to contact me at your convenience. My deepest sympathy on your loss.

As friends of Ronald's son, John, we share in your family's grief today, offer a shoulder to cry upon, and an ear to listen. May the love of friends and family carry you through this time.

Ron was a fellow teacher and friend while I was on staff at Irving over the turn of the last century. As we waited for parents to arrive during one spring's parent/teacher conference days, Ron sat at "my" table visiting and sketching. I asked if he would share one of his "works" with me. Ron grabbed another sheet of paper, did a quick tree scene and signed it as if a gift. It is framed and has a special place on the wall of my living room. What a guy! Wish we could share one more hug.

Mr. Lupton was one of the superheroes of my childhood. It was like a superstar had come into the building when he would show up to Whittier Elementary, box of art supplies resting on his shoulder. They were some of my best grade school memories.
I remember seeing Disney's the Rescuers with my family and Aunt and Uncle (Jan and Bob Simpich) and we ran into the Luptons, lo and behold we were invited over to their house to watch home movies. It was like I'd been invited to visit a celebrity.
Thanks so much to him for all that he did for kids along the way - for an infectious sense of humor and a love of art. My thoughts and prayers for you all as you mourn your loss.
