With his infectious smile and wit - Roy was one of those people who made work fun. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with him and he is truly missed. Keeping you and yours in my thoughts and prayers.

But from reading some of the entries in his guest book, I'm sorry that we didnt get to see him more often. He sounds like he grew up to be quite an honorable man with a beautiful family whom he loved dearly, and many true friends whom admired his friendship and loyalty. I had the opportunity to work with Roy in Kuwait when I was the Property Control Supervisor. I can see him in WHSE I greeting me as I walk thru. Such a kind and gentle man. I am so sorry for your lost. My God continue to watch over your family in it's hour of need. God Bless you!!

The walks through warehouse 1 were always a comedic adventure. Roy would be sitting outside on the bench talking to one of his colleagues and I would walk by. He would always greet me with his country draw by saying "hey there Skitter bug". Not knowing how to respond we would just "crack-up". The picture of his country boy smile will be continuously etched in my mind...its hard to believe what felt like a lifetime to me was only a year. That was how long I actually knew Roy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Kathy, Christopher, Royal Jr. and family.

Roy will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. The consumate professional, he was always there to support soldiers and their missions. It was truly a pleasure to know and work with him. May his rewards in Heaven be far greater than those he left on Earth.

I've known Roy for 4 yrs, and the most I remember about him is his hard work and sincere for others. He'll be missed by many, and God bless his family and keep them safe.

Roy was one of the great people on the Fort Carson DOL LSS contract that made the work in Warehouse 330 worry free for the leadership. My deepest sympathies to his family.

I have Known this professional young man for almost one year and this man love his family deeply, He always wanted to demonstrate his compassion for his greatfully appreciated family each and every day of his conversation with other contractor here in Kuwait. This leave me to believe that Mr Hackenberg was a happly married Husband and father. I thank God that I met Mr Hackenberg and I will always have him in my heart as a true friend.
