Rudolph "Rudy" Heussi Obituary

Rudolph “Rudy� Heussi passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2011 in Las Vegas, NV at the age of 80 after a 3 year battle with cancer. Rudy was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 15, 1930 to Rudolph and Gertrude Heussi. He was a 1949 graduate of North Quincy High School and a member of the Naval Reserve. Rudy married Ann Peterson in May of 1951. Together, they had three daughters. Daughter Andrea Cotter of Abington, MA preceded him in death. Rudy is survived by daughters, Therese Dodd of Eustis, FL and Jeanine Michaels of Las Vegas, NV, a brother, Harold Heussi of Essex, MA and sister Norma Barriere of Quincy, MA. Rudy also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Having lived most of his life in New England, Rudy worked in sales with Electrolux and Kabinet Klad Kitchens in Massachusetts. At age 70, he relocated to Colorado Springs where he lived for the past decade. Rudy worked at Mesa Ridge High School until his retirement at age 78. Rudy loved reading, antique cars and riding his motorcycle. Rudy attended Lighthouse Christian Fellowship. His son in law, Pastor Brian Michaels, will preside at a memorial service in celebration of his life on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 1 pm at Mountain Spring Church located at 7345 Adventure Way, Colorado Springs, CO 80923
