Shauna Wade Obituary

Sgt. Wade was my MTI during BMT in Lackland AFB. I believe she was one of the first female Blue Rope Military Instructors. She was truly, the cream of the crop, the TOP of TOP. She has left a very long-life lasting impression on me and all who was blessed enough to have been trained by her. I was so sad to hear when she passed. My condolences to her family. Rest in Peace Sgt. In the picture, I am in the first row closest to SRA Hernandez.

I personally worked with Shauna and am sadden by her loss. She stood out among the MTI Corps and will be truely missed by all. My thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones and family.

Shauna was truly a blessing. I had the priviledge and honor to not only know her as an instructor but as a friend. Beth know that you, she and her family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Shauna Wade was truly a loving and devoted daughter, sister, partner, and friend. She blessed my life in countless ways for 36 years and the world is a darker place without her beautiful smile and genuine, loving heart. Shauna exemplified loyalty, courage, and integrity with each day of her life. She was selfless, smart, tenacious, an incredible athlete, and the most stubborn person I’ve ever met. Her battle with cancer was a testament to her love for life and she was brave and strong in her journey, right to the end. She could not have had a more loyal partner to hold her hand and exhaust every avenue of healing. For Edith, Sherryl, and Beth, your hearts will ache the most because you were blessed more than anyone by Shauna’s existence on this earth. Her love was greatest for the three of you and her spirit will be with you until you join her. I love you and miss you Shauna Wade.

I heard so many great things about Shauna over the years. My thoughts are with you and her family.

What devastating news. It's hard to imagine that Shauna's presence will no longer be manifest in this realm. But what joy her radiant smile will surely bring to all in heaven. It gives me comfort to know that she will there waiting with her unselfish compassion to serve as an inspiration yet again. I will look forward to seeing her smile as fresh and welcoming as that first day at the waterfall in Abadiania. I was an MTI during Shauna's tour in BMT. I will always remember all the laughs and smiles Shauna shared with a good many of us from the BMT family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. A new angel amongst us and Shauna will always be remembered in our hearts.

To Beth and Shauna's family. You are in my prayers during this very difficult time. Shauna was such a brilliant light in this world. I well remember the great times we had marching down the bomb run with Colonel Fucci and leading a mass of basic trainees down Pennsylvania avenue during President Clinton's first inaugural parade. Heck we nearly froze our backsides off but what a great trip! She had a smile as big as Texas and twice as much heart. She will be very sorely missed.

Unbelievable! I met Shauna in BMT and she has remained in my heart because of how understanding, caring, smart, and professional she is. My heart goes out to you Beth and her family. God always knows why he does the things he does although we may never understand them. Her strength and sincerity are always with me...we always learn from quality people that cross our lives. Have God's blessing and know she's with you.

On behalf of the BMT Blue Rope Association, we send our deepest sympathy and prayers. Shauna was truly the “Best of the Best” at everything in life. We will forever remember her and the many contributions she bestowed upon the basic training family. I can not express my deep sadness for the loss of our friend Shauna. I can only hope she is marching the other angels around up there in heaven. She was a wonderful human being and will be truly missed. My heart goes out to you Beth and her family.

Beth, may you and your family, along with Shauna'a family find peace that passes all understanding at this, the time of Shauna's transition. I feel blessed to have witnessed the amazing unconditional love that you two shared with one another. I feel blessed to have had the chance to meet Shauna in Brazil and experience first hand her kindness, sense of humor and inner strength. I'm sure that as Shauna is now enfolded in the Most High's love and light, she is watching over you, Beth and all her loved ones, with that beautiful smile and mischievous gleam in her eyes.

As I read through the many comments that have already been spoken, it is no surprise of all the names I recognize, the BMT family that we became part of. The loss of a family member doesn't only touch those immediate, but rather the whole family! Our family has suffered a true loss...Shauana was a friend to many and an aquantance to others, but always BMT family!

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone at such a difficult time. Shauna is the Angel God needed to spread true joy to all. The first star you see at night is Shauna watching over you Beth and her family and friends. I was fortunate to have her as a friend then and now.

My heart and thoughts go out to Beth and Shawna's family. I knew her well and will always remember her smile and endless energy. She is truly an angel.

Beth, I cannot begin to imagine the grief and pain you and Shauna's family are feeling. Shauna lived an inspiring life and I know that I am blessed to have shared in even a small part of that. I didn't know Shauna very well, but when you work in a place like BMT, were all family. I am very sorry for your loss. The world lost a wonderful person.

My thoughts and prayers are with Beth and Shauna's family. I worked with Shauna in the early 1990s of BMT. Shauna was denfinely one to admire as she proved to be an awesome friend, worker, and competitor. These qualities were evident as she was selected for BMT "Blue Rope of the Year" in 1992. Shauna's legacy will live on.

It is her radiant smile that I will always remember. Beth, you are in my thoughts and prayers as is her mother and sister. I realize there is nothing I can say to ease the pain but I truly believe Shauna is looking down and smiling -- knowing how much she was loved.

I want to express my sincerest condolences on the loss of Shauna. I worked with her at MCI several years ago and held her in the highest esteem. She was a wonderful coworker and friend.
