TROY JAMES MEEHLEIS
May 26, 1965 - July 30, 2019
Troy James Meehleis passed away suddenly in Colorado Springs, July 30th, 2019, at the age of 54. Troy was born in Inglewood, California, May 26, 1965. Troy lived in Black Forest, Colorado most of his life. Troy earned his BS in Business Administration from the University of Denver in 1987. He owned his own roofing business. Troy is survived by his wife, Diane, son, Dillon and daughter, Kirsten. He is also survived by his father, George A. Meehleis and his two brothers Rick Meehleis and Dan Meehleis. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Meehleis and brother, Guy Meehleis. Services will be held August 6th, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, located st 6950 Shoup Road in Black Forest, Colorado, beginning at 10:00 am. Internment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, all are welcome.

I had known Troy since elementary school. We kinda grew up together. We didn't keep in touch over the years but when we did get to see each other, it was like we never missed beat. And he truly was an old soul-the best kind!

It is still so difficult to wrap my head around the abrupt and permanent end to Troy's reign as a modern day superhero here. Without a doubt, he embodied the meaning of generosity,faith,compassion,trust,altruism,and friend. He walked this earth,sharing humbly with many,his bright light;instilling reminders of the love that is available to us all if we believe. His faith in something greater,and his endless optimism never wavered. Blessed to have called him my friend. He was a reminder to me,that there are still kind,and loving souls that walk amongst us as earth angels. His purpose grew bigger than what he could do without his golden wings,so he had to take that train outta here. Deeply missed and truly loved. Troy,you were a wonderful and true friend. Much love for sharing part of your journey with me,and sharing your light. Love you.
