Verna Cancil Obituary

Verna Edith Cancil, a resident of Colorado Springs for 58 years, passed away December 25, 2012. She was a wonderful homemaker who was faced with many medical and physical challenges, but was a fighter through it all. She was born on February 14, 1925 in Hastings, Nebraska to Mr. and Mrs. Herman Kort. She worked at Hallmark for many years. She is survived by her sons: Dan (wife Adelle) Cancil, and Allan (wife MaryAnn) Cancil; four grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Cancil. A visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful� Chapel, with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel.
