I'm so sorry to hear about Vickie's passing. I've known Doug since elementary school and Vickie since high school. Both had such a rare gift for enjoying life and laugh. I wish I learned about her passing earlier so I could show the respect she deserved and Doug the support of friendship. The circle of life continues on and we will all have losses to bare but it never seems fair. Vickie's lighting up heaven with her energy and laugh, God bless you girl!

I'm so sorry to hear about Vickie's passing with my thoughts and prayers going out to Doug and his family. I've known Doug since elementary school and Vickie since high school. Both had such an energy for life and laugh! I wish I learned about Vickie's passing in time to attend and show the respect both her and Doug deserve.
Vickie's in a better place and Doug has a huge support group, take care my man!

My heart goes out to the family and friends of Vicki. Her sister-in-law Valerie has been one of my dearest friends since 8th grade. So I had the privilege of knowing Doug's family. And I know over the years I had the pleasure of hearing stories about Vicki and Doug and their little family from Valerie. I just want to say my prayers are with them all. May God bless you all with peace, and more love. May your memories bring you joy and may your heart feel peace with every thought of her. SANDY

I had the pleasure of working with Vicki at KKTV for 6 years. That pleasure was often due to her bright, big smile and her great bursts of laughter. On a tough working day it was a refreshing joy to meet up with Vicki in the hall or the break room. Sure, her days couldn't all have been that great, but as a coworker I wondered how could she always be so upbeat? And I was grateful. Workplaces need Vickis.
Radio talk-show host Dennis Prager has a "Happiness Hour" every Friday. He believes it's a moral imperative for us to act happy around others, even if we're going through tough times. He says others deserve that courtesy. Vicki could've been his - can I say it these days? - "poster girl."
Vicki, I trust you're laughing with the Lord now, and I pray your family and friends are, from time to time, being lifted up by the echoes of those chuckles in sweet, private moments. Blessings from our family to all of you.
