Albert R Mauro Jr, 81, of Colorado Springs, died February 12, 2024, at home surrounded by family.
The son of Thelma and Albert Mauro, Al (Butch), was born January 27, 1943. He spent his childhood in Weston, Colorado. In 1965, he married Shari Nimmo. They had two daughters, Shauna and Holly. Al taught science at South Jr. High School for 19 years and then worked as a realtor for the Schaefer Agency, both with love and devotion.
Those who knew him knew his dedication to his faith, his family and friends and his love of American automobiles.
His funeral will be held at 10:30 am on March 4, 2024, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Care & Share or any animal rescue.
