Dr. Ann Carlisle passed from this life on July 10, 2022. She was born to Rolph and Helen (Norberg) Carlisle on February 27, 1941 in Coldwater, Michigan. She is dearly missed by her sisters Dot Young and Mary Monsma. Ann is survived by nephews Scott Young, Andy Young, Marty Monsma; niece Kris Flanagan; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. Her devoted husband, Matt Marshall Evans, predeceased her in 2007.

Ann lived a life both studious and people oriented. She graduated from Coldwater High in 1959 as class valedictorian, and went on to University of Michigan where she studied German language and literature. She devoted two years to teaching English in the Philippines with the Peace Corps. When she returned to the States, she studied Eastern European History at Syracuse University. In 1978 Ann received her doctorate in psychology at California School of Professional Psychology and found her life's work. She had a private counseling practice in Colorado Springs for 40 years.

That's what Ann did in her active full life. Who she was reached far beyond the books.
To say she left a legacy would be an understatement. Ann never counseled a relationship she didn't leave in a richer, more loving condition than how she found it. In her wake she has left hundreds of evolved couples who transformed from "me" and "you" to a loving "us"… youth and parents who have dissolved ancestral patterns and nurtured a rich common ground…women and men who have discovered we will never move into a workable future without equally honoring the feminine and masculine. Ann lived whole-heartedly. Her wisdom cut through any uncertainty. Her kindness and compassion ruled every connection she made. She will be greatly missed by many.
Ann's Celebration Of Life will be held Sunday, September 25, at The Loft Collective 2504 W. Colorado Avenue from 2-4pm. (Parking behind building.)
Donations can be made in her honor to the Pikes Peak Humane Society.
