Anne Irene Willie was born on June 6, 1944, in Yuma, Arizona. Just a year later, her family settled in Colorado Springs, the place she would proudly call home for the next 81 years. Surrounded by the beauty of Pikes Peak, Anne lived a full and meaningful life, passing peacefully on December 13, 2025.
Anne dedicated more than 40 years of her professional life to the insurance industry, retiring from Progressive Insurance. Her work ethic, reliability, and care for others were hallmarks of her career and mirrored the way she lived her life.
Outside of work, Anne found joy in the simple and extraordinary alike. She volunteered her time at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, cherished the natural beauty of Colorado, and delighted in chasing hot air balloons across open skies. Living at the foot of Pikes Peak was more than a location—it was part of who she was.
Above all else, Anne was a devoted mother and Grandma. She was a loving, strong, and unwavering presence in the lives of her children, Kristin Willie (Jeff Miller) and Brian Willie (Mollie Willie). She was a proud and adoring Grandma to Rieden Tyler Willie, whose name honored her maiden name and her enduring family legacy.
Anne is survived by her sisters, Carrie McKinney; Marcia Owens (Larry Owens); and Peggy Baldridge (Art Baldridge). She was preceded in death by her sister, Vicki Rieden, and her parents, Al and Rene Rieden.
Anne will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, love of community, and deep devotion to her family. Her presence was steady, her heart generous, and her love enduring. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
A private celebration of life, in keeping with her wishes, will be held by her family at a later time. Memorial donations in her honor may be made to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Colorado Springs, CO.
