Barbara Varnedoe Obituary

Barbara (Bradley) Varnedoe
December 31, 1952
March 3, 2024

Barbara Bradley Varnedoe, 71, of Monument, CO passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024. She passed peacefully in her home with family by her side.
Born December 31, 1952, in Columbus, Ohio, she was the youngest child of Robert and Eunice Bradley.

Barbara - or Barb/Barbie, as she was known to family and friends – was a big part of the Littleton, CO community after moving there in 1960. She attended Centennial Elementary, Grant Jr High, and Littleton High School where she was the best Pom Pom girl on the squad.

Barbara got her college degree in education at the University of Northern Colorado in 1976. Just after college she met the love of her life, Wyman Varnedoe, and they were married on June 5, 1977. Being a Military family, they moved to OK, FL, NY, Japan and Germany before settling in Monument, CO in 1992.

Barb loved her family the most. Her parents and two brothers also lived in CO so she would attend as many family get togethers as possible. She was the cheerleader of the family and would show up to all activities with banners in hand.

Barb's children and grandchildren were the center of her world. She enjoyed substitute teaching in District 38, and especially loved following her children around in the schools. Many of her later days were spent with her five grandchildren visiting the park and 7-11!

Barbie was a ray of sunshine and her smile would light up a room. She was loved by everyone she met. She is survived by her loving husband Wyman Varnedoe of nearly 47 years, her two children; son Bradley Varnedoe of Monument, CO, and daughter Erin and Michael Warner of Falcon, CO, five wonderful grandchildren, Logan, Rylan, Landon, Haakon, and Brienne. She is also survived by her two amazing older brothers, Dr. Robert C. Bradley and Marilyn of Windsor, CO, and Randy and Kris Bradley of Colorado Springs, CO, as well as many Nieces and Nephews, Cousins, and friends all over the US.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Eunice Bradley, as well as beloved Aunts and Uncles.

A Celebration of Life will be held for our Barbie at The Church at Woodmoor on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., located at 18125 Furrow Road, Monument, Colorado 80132. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Church at Woodmoor.
