December 21, 2021

Bernard "Bernie" William Joseph Lick, 87, of Colorado Springs passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in his home. Bernie was born July 8, 1934 on the family farm in Mount Clemens, Michigan to Irene Kubiak and Edward Lick. Bernie spent 6 years in the Army, which brought him to Colorado where he was stationed at Camp Carson. While working a second job as a car hop at a drive in diner, he met Mary Ann and they were soon married. To say Bernie was a man of many talents would be an understatement. He worked for Deitz Brothers as an all around audio visual expert and photographer. His career continued as a salesman at Montgomery Wards, where he took great pride in the toy and garden department for many years.

Bernie was an active member of Sunrise Sertoma, Jaycee's, and Eleven Mile Recreational Association. He was a competitive member of the Rollerskating Club and Dance Team in Mount Clemens, Michigan. Through the years Bernie enjoyed fishing, traveling, woodworking, carving, and spending time with family at his beloved mountain cabin.

Bernie is preceded in death by his brother Edward W. Lick, his sister Mary Callewaert, and his former wife of 26 years and mother of his children Mary Ann Lick.

He is survived by his second wife Edna Reimer, daughters Tauni Orndorff and husband Charles, Cindy Barnes and husband Scott, granddaughter Elizabeth Carland and husband RJ, grandson Jacob Reimer and wife Alyssa, and great-grandson Everett Reimer. Services will be held at Swan Law on Tuesday, December 28th at 1pm, with a reception after. Interment and burial will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers and gifts please consider donating to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. You can visit fundraising.stjude.org and search Bernard W. Lick.

Dear Edna, Tauni, and Cindy. My love and deepest sympathy to you and your family. Bernie was such a wonderful person and contributed so very much to the COS community over the years. Milt and I enjoyed so many good times with him and other Sertoma members and families. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
