Betty Medina (Barela) passed away on Friday, May 13, 2022 at her home. She was born March 1, 1960 to Bennie and Ophelia Barela. She attended Doherty High School. Betty was a homemaker. She loved her family more than anything. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. She was such a caring, generous, and giving person always willing to help out. Betty had such a great sense of humor. Betty is preceded in death by her father, Bennie Barela; her mother, Ophelia Barela; and her brothers, Gaspar and Steve Barela. Betty is survived by her siblings, Benito (Ventura) Barela, Eileen (Danny) Baracz, Fred (Joan) Barela, Jean Quintana, Tina (Joe) Saliba; and her godsons, Jacob Rupp and Justin Saliba; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation, 6:00PM-8:00PM, Monday, May 23, 2022, Rosary at 7:00PM, The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue. Funeral Service, 11:00AM, Tuesday, May 24, 2022, St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1830 South Corona Avenue.
Graveside Service, 12:30PM, Tuesday, May 24, 2022, Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expressway.

Betty will always be missed, she was beautiful person inside and out. I will always have great memories of us together when we were younger. She will always be in my prayers and her family too.

Wow what a kind, fun, respectful lady. No matter where we (I) seen Betty she always loved seeing her friends.
Betty was a true Colorado Springs Girl, she will be missed.
