Brian Cogan Obituary

Brian Brett Cogan, at 22 years old, passed away peacefully December 24th in his family home after a long battle with addiction. He was born in Naples, Italy April 12th 1992 to William and Julia Cogan. A Navy brat, Brian traveled the world; living in Italy, Bahrain, Japan, Korea and Germany and throughout the USA, embracing every new culture and adventure. This international experience contributed to his worldly approach to life and his thirst for learning. He developed a refined pallet, not just for fine foods but also for life experiences. After graduating from Lewis-Palmer high school in 2010, Brian attended the Art Institute dreaming of one day being in the film industry. Writing movie scripts and lyrics reflected Brian's artistic essence. Brian enjoyed a good laugh and was always the life of the party but his beautiful spirit was best reflected in his loving roll as Uncle, his nieces were his joy.

Brian will be dearly missed and is survived by his parents Bill and Julie; his sister Danielle and his sister Stephanie and brother-in-law Joshua and his two lovely nieces Fairah and Melody. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Patricia, Davie, Waltraud and Olen. He is survived by loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will take place Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery, 6601 South Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121. The viewing will be from 11:00am - 12:00pm followed by a service with burial at 1:00pm. An informal memorial Celebration of Life is scheduled for Friday, January 9, 2015 starting at 5:00pm at Jack Quinn's, 21 South Tejon Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
