Remembering the love Chad shared for "his girls" and how he continues to live through each one of them .

Chad was one of my first friends in life, in the little round kindergarten building in Palmer Lake. I graduated from high school with him, those years made so much more fun and memorable with his larger than life, vibrant spirit. In later years, his passion for his family and God were contagious and inspiring. My heart and prayers are with Katrese and his daughters in this season.

As you know I was at Chad´s Memorial Service yesterday. I was touched by so many things. For example, everything from entering the room and seeing people I knew from teaching at Thunder Ridge Middle School to the beautiful stage to hearing the incredible duet by the girls as well as many other of these memorable moments. Katrese, I loved hearing what you had to share with all of us through your dignity, grace, strength and faith. Thank you so much for that! I know it was not easy. What I was not expecting was the sound of all the bikers as they road up with all of their motorcycles. For me that event centered me and made the memories of Chad come alive. So, so powerful! I got to know Chad through mylifeline.org. That experience was one of the most meaningful ways for me to get to know Chad, You and Chad, and obviously, You, Chad and the girls. Through Lifeline, and what Chad shared on that extraordinary site, which included a lot of information about his diagnosis, treatment options, mental and emotional insights which were shared throughout the posts. It was so obvious that he never gave up on his journey until he knew it was time to see the face of his Almighty Father. When I read his comments I had moments of solitude, stillness, tears and remembering all things beautiful. It gave me many more opportunities to pray for other individuals and families as they and their loved ones struggle through their decisions, pain and what their future may look like. Everyone´s strength and ultimate future is very personal. It can be based on their beliefs and/or their faith. It was obvious where all of your strength comes from and you role-modeled that for all of us. I can only speak for me but that experience was unforgettable. Thank You! Thanks so much for the opportunity to play such a small roll in such a private, sacred and lifelong experience. Love and Peace In Christ Kathy Small

So sorry to hear about Chads passing. I never got to meet him in person, but was so impressed by his courage and grace while battling cancer. He was also such an amazing writer. You were very blessed to have him.

Found about Chad, Tucker, and Jim Connally passing just last week day. I am so sorry for your loss. We went to elementary school, middle school, and 1 year of high school together and we´re on a lot of teams together. I remember when he tore his ligament in his knee. Coach Walberg saw to it he got extra ice. So torn up about this. Would like to talk to others who knew him. Rest in a Peace old friend.
