Carol Gwyn Obituary

Carol Jean Gwyn passed away suddenly on her 77th birthday on September 7th. She left this earth surrounded by her loving husband and three children. Jean was born in Schell City, Missouri, where she met her husband of 59 years, Charles Gwyn. She resided in Colorado Springs, CO and Scottsdale, AZ.

Jean lived in many places throughout her life, including Lawrence, KS, Albuquerque, NM, and Danville, CA. She had a larger than life personality and was a fantastic cook. Jean enjoyed playing bridge, reading, and going to Cripple Creek to play the slot machines.

Jean is preceded in death by her father and mother, Arleigh and Ruth Carlton, her siblings Evelyn Porter, Joseph Carlton, Robert Carlton, Johnny Carlton, and her grandson, Hunter Gwyn. She is survived by her husband, Charles Gwyn, her children Kevin, Karen, and Bryan, daughter-in-law Kristin, and grandchildren Jordan, Courtney, Lauren, and Lexie.

A celebration of Jean's life will be held sometime in the future at her favorite place, Santuario de Chimayo in Chimayo, NM.
