Dorothy Lee Maxey, 77, of Colorado Springs, died Thursday, November 13 at Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Maxey was born June 11, 1931 in Lake Providence, Louisiana to Rev. Sandy and Sarah Hearns Facen. She lived in Colorado Springs since 1962. Mrs. Maxey was a homemaker, devoted wife, beloved mother and grandmother. Mrs. Maxey is survived by her daughter, Adrian M. Brock; two sons, George H. Maxey, III and Joseph Facen; two sisters, Sarah Edwards, Callie Edwards and sister-in-law, Lillian M. Mallory; two brothers, Marge Facen and Sandy Facen, five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, November 17, 2008 at Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs. Funeral Services will be at 11 AM, Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church, 1 South Walnut. Interment will be at 2:15 PM, Tuesday, November 18, at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area "C", Denver, Colorado.
