Edward Dickman Obituary

Edward W. Dickman Sept. 14, 1924-Apr. 7, 2006. Mr. Edward W. Dickman passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Mobile, AL., to Mary and Dale Dickman. He was a proud Army veteran who stormed Omaha Beach with the 5th Ranger Battalion during the D-Day invasion of France. He then worked for 32 years in civil service for the Air Force in Europe. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Irene; daughters : Petra and Susanna; sons-in-law: Shane and Terry; and four grandchildren: Shannon, Christopher, Katie and Amber; a brother, Siegel; sister-in-law, Marlene; and sister, Mary Lanzing; nieces, nephews and many close relatives in Germany. His family was his life and he devoted himself to them. We will miss and love him forever. Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation, 825 E. Pikes Peak Ave. Suite 600, Colorado Springs, CO., 80903.
