Edward W. Weaver was born December 16, 1939 to Calvin and Anna Weaver in Bethlehem, PA. He married Karla Jan Ancona August 10, 1973, in Colorado Springs, CO.
He entered the United States Air Force May 1957 retiring as a Chief Master Sgt in November 1990. Shortly after his active duty retirement, he returned to the AF in Civil Service August 1991. In June 1996 he again retired. His tenure included fourteen worldwide assignments. Awards and Decorations included The Defense Meritorious Service Medal, AF Meritorious Service Medal, AF Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, and both the Master Space and Security Forces Badges.
After retirement, Ed volunteered at his church First Lutheran, Colorado Springs Interfaith Hospitality Network, Peterson AFB Air & Space Museum Foundation and was a member of the Air Force Association, The Retired Enlisted Association, NCO Association, American Legion Post and Elks Lodge.
He is survied by his wife, Karla, and will always be her Best Friend.
Ed's Memorial Service will be held on Friday April 10th, 1:00 PM at Ascension Lutheran Church with a reception to follow.
Military Honors and interment will be at a future date.
