Our beautiful mother, Mary Jo Chytka, of Monument, Colorado passed away on March 18th, 2026. Mary fought a hard battle with cancer since May 2024. She was born in Rapid City, South Dakota on February 23rd, 1968.
Mary worked at USAA for 33 years and finished her career as a Director. She loved spending time with her family, hiking, antiquing, taking her dog Charli on long walks, and making her house a home. Mary loved traveling to Hawaii and Las Vegas.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Paul, and her daughters, Haley and Sydney. Mary became a Gigi to her grandson Laken this past December.
Her Celebration of Life will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Monument, Colorado on Saturday March 28th at 10am. Flowers are welcome, but donations can also be made to the Appendix Cancer Research Foundation at ACPMP.org
