I had the privilege of teaching Art to Garrett at Thomas Jefferson. He was a wonderful student. He was smart, kind, funny and well liked by all. I especially remember his great sense of humor and how he would always make me smile. I remember that he drew a self portrait in charcoal that was especially exceptional. He will be greatly missed.
