Gerald Bonitz Obituary

Jerry passed away unexpectedly on Sunday Feb 15th. He was born in Walsenburg, Colorado and raised in Manitou. Jerry loved life, Colorado, and everything it had to offer. He was a free spirit, lived life to its fullest and was always willing

to help his family and friends.

Jerry was a graduate of Manitou Springs High School and a long-time employee of Santa's Workshop. They knew him as fuzzy and what a great helper for Santa and his team!

Jerry was preceded in death by his father Gerald Senior and his sister Chris. He is survived by his mother Virginia Bonitz, brothers John, Ken and Dan, Nieces Alicia, Shayla, and nephews Timmy, Karl, Tony, and Eric. He has numerous

cousins in addition to many other family and loving friends.

His family, friends and co-workers will miss him dearly.

He loved the mountains, outdoors, and people of all walks of life. Your brothers love you JuGi and will miss you! God Bless you!

A visitation will be held on Monday Feb 23rd from 6:00-8:00 pm at Blunt Mortuary. Services will be Tuesday morning Feb 24th at 11:00 at Sacred heart Catholic Church.

I have good memories of Jerry. He was always kind and showed me respect. I had some wonderful conversations with him in the ally, next to the shack.

Due to recent surgery I cannot attend services, nor can my daughter, Ashley McClure Subler ,who worked for Fuzzy for 3 years, because she lives in Ohio now. She says he was the best boss she ever had. Mentions on Facebook today from both of us . he definitely leaves a.void. we are better people because he touched our lives. May the Lord be with his family.

We are so sad that Jerry is gone. He was always so friendly. We just ran into him at the north pole and he was happy as always. We are glad to have known him and that our children knew him. Such an awesome spirit. Happy trails Jerry, we will miss you and think of you when we visit the pole next year. Your friends the Sweats, Aaron, Rosemary, Ben and Luke.
