Gloria Gordon Obituary

(Olivares) Gordon
Gloria (Olivares) Gordon
December 22, 1956
April 25, 2025

Gloria (Olivares) Gordon passed away peacefully on Friday, April 25, 2025, in Topeka, KS, with family by her side. She was born on December 22, 1956, to Jesus and Maria (Schmitt) Olivares in Taipei, Taiwan, and was one of 11 children.
As a military child, she traveled and attended schools abroad and across the United States. When her father retired from the U.S. Army, they made Colorado Springs their home. In 2000, she met her forever love, Michael (Mike) Gordon, and they called Topeka, KS, home together.
Gloria worked as a researcher with Shepherds/McGraw-Hill and, later, with Kansas Secured Title. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her beloved parents and siblings. She loved a good thriller, football, baseball, and making memories with her dear husband and family.
Gloria is survived by her daughter, Jill Likness; son, Ryan (Rysa) Likness; stepdaughters, Delaney (Jacob) Moege and Dakota (Tanner) Bowers; six grandchildren; and siblings: Rosenda (Jeff) Schumacher, Sylvia Olivares, Stella Olivares, Orlando (Maya) Olivares, Maria Olivares, and Robert Olivares. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike; parents; and four brothers.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Shrine of Remembrance in Colorado Springs, CO.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Midland Hospice House (Topeka) or Tunnel to Towers.
